This project was the largest Wind Farm in England and Wales. The developer was Vattenfall and the Customer was Balfour Beatty - with the turbine bases being constructed by Jones Brothers ( Ruthin) Ltd. There were 76 bases and the total quantity of steel supplied was circa 6000t. The reinforcement consisted of largely radius bars and support chairs which needed to be made to very narrow margins of tolerance. The initial bases were started in February 2014 with the wind farm generating full power for the first time on 7th May 2017.
