Modular construction methods are increasingly being used by the construction industry for their significant time, cost and quality improvements. Express Reinforcements is in the forefront of modular reinforcement developments. This reinforcement method has been used successfully for the new Aurora Sofitel Hotel at London Heathrow where Express has supplied over 5,000 tonnes of its MODEX reinforcement system.
The £180 million Sofitel London Heathrow will be the only hotel at Heathrow Terminal 5. Due to open in March 20087 to coincide with the opening of Terminal 5 it will provide 600 bedrooms, conference facilities for up to 1,500 delegates with an additional 30 meeting rooms. In addition, hotel facilities will include a health spa and underground car parking. Link bridges will directly connect the hotel with Terminal 5.
Express Reinforcements has also supplied over 10,000 tonnes of modular reinforcement for the basement construction of the second satellite building at the new Heathrow Terminal 5.
