This Health and Safety Policy Statement demonstrates my commitment as Managing Director of Express Reinforcements Ltd to the promotion of the highest possible health and safety standards within the Company, to achieve compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and associated Regulations as a minimum.

As Managing Director I have ultimate responsibility for ensuring the Company’s compliance with health and safety legislation and implementation of the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and that of the parent group, CELSA Group.

The Company and I are committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all persons in our employ and all other persons who may be directly or indirectly affected by the conduct of our undertaking. As part of our demonstration of commitment health and safety is an agenda item on every Board meeting, where our objectives are reviewed.

Employees and visitors to Company premises will be provided with such information, instruction, training and supervision necessary to ensure that they are able to go about their daily activity safely. Customers will also be provided with all information necessary for them to complete their undertaking safely.

All employees are expected to co-operate fully in the promotion of health and safety. Employees at all levels of the Company are reminded that they have a personal responsibility to ensure the health and safety not only of themselves but others around them that could be affected by their acts or omissions.

Employees are encouraged to raise any health and safety concerns through their line manager; health and safety committee; Health and Safety Manager and Managing Director in that order of priority.

Failure by any employee to co-operate with the Company in its efforts to provide a safe and healthy workplace will be deemed to be Gross Misconduct and disciplinary action will follow.

To ensure commitment the Company will actively audit against legislative requirements, Company procedures and the responsibilities identified within the appropriate health and safety responsibility folders at all of our depots and at any customer site where we have a physical presence.

This policy statement is to be communicated as per the requirements of PPH07.

The message for all is that health and safety is and always must be integral to our business activities and is not to be considered secondary to production.
