The Process
- Sleeves are automatically axially extruded at the end of rebars from 12mm to 56mm. There is no reduction of the nominal cross section area of the parent bar.
- Sleeves, male or female, are connected by means of a high performance threaded stud, thus eliminating the risks of incipient failure or cracks on the rebar.
- The ultimate capacity of the joint is higher than the rebar (bar-break). The axial extrusion is performed on a mobile machine with a systematic and non destructive tensile test. This guarantees the performance of every joint delivered on site.
